AI Use and the EU AI Act
Best Business Brands LLC is a human-operated, AI-forward company. We use AI to draft and assist. People decide, review and approve. Under the EU AI Act, our use of AI is minimal risk.
Our statement
- Human-operated. Every proposal, website, line of code, design and message we deliver is reviewed and approved by a person at BBB before it ships. We are responsible for it as if we had written it ourselves.
- AI-forward. We use AI tools to create first drafts of copy, code, designs and proposals, to suggest changes and to draft meeting notes. AI makes us faster; it does not make decisions for us or for you.
- No automated decisions about people. We do not use AI to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on anyone, and we do not profile people.
- No biometrics. We do not use AI for biometric identification or categorisation, emotion recognition, or voice or face recognition.
- Your data. Call audio is transcribed on our own servers. Only text we choose is sent to a commercial AI model, on terms that exclude training on it. Clients can ask us not to use AI tools on their material.
EU AI Act classification
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act), as amended by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744. Our role: deployer of general-purpose AI systems made by others. We do not place our own AI systems or general-purpose AI models on the market.
| Question | Our answer |
|---|---|
| Risk level of our AI use | Minimal risk |
| Prohibited practices (Article 5) | None. No manipulation, exploitation of vulnerabilities, social scoring, predictive policing, facial-image scraping, emotion recognition at work or school, biometric categorisation or remote biometric identification. |
| High-risk uses (Article 6, Annex I and Annex III) | None. We do not use AI for biometrics, critical infrastructure, education or exam scoring, recruitment or worker management, access to essential services or credit, law enforcement, migration, justice or elections, and not as a safety component of a regulated product. |
| Transparency (Article 50) | We would tell people when they talk to an AI system (we do not run a public chatbot today). We do not publish deepfakes. Text we publish is reviewed by a person who holds editorial responsibility for it, and this page discloses how we use AI. |
| AI literacy (Article 4) | Everyone at BBB who uses AI tools is trained in their limits, review duties and data handling. |
| Accountable person | Oksana Sudoma, Founder and managing member, Best Business Brands LLC. Contact: [email protected] |
| Last reviewed | 20 October 2026. We review this classification whenever we add an AI use, and at least once a year. |
This statement describes our own use of AI. A website or system we build for a client is classified for the client's use of it; tell us if your project involves AI so we can assess it with you. Sudoma Consulting advises on ISO/IEC 42001 and the AI Act; BBB does not claim certification against those standards.
